Materials:

  • Drinking straws
  • Craft foam flowers
  • Hole Punch (standard size)

Craft foam flowers can be purchased in buckets or in smaller packages at your local craft store. If you prefer you can cut some out of craft foam sheets.

punch a hole in the middle by folding the flower in half.
  1. Choose two or three flowers in different sizes for each straw.
  2. Punch a hole in the middle of each flower.  If the hole punch doesn't reach the center of the flower, fold the flower in half and slip the center into the hole punch but only half way.  Squeeze to make your hole.  When you open the flower back up, it will have a whole hole.
  3. Slide the flower shapes onto the straw so that the smallest is at the top of the straw and the largest flowers are at the bottom.

Hint:  If using straws that bend, slide the flowers up from the bottom of the straw and stop just before the bend.
