learn to crochet fun fur flip flops

Learn how to crochet flip flop sandals using fun fur or eyelash yarn. It is an inexpensive way to dress up a pair of ordinary flip flops.

Crochet Supplies:

  • 1.5 oz* Fun Fur (eyelash) yarn
  • Size K crochet hook
  • One pair flip flops

*You may need less yarn depending on size of flip flops.

Note: You can either work with two separate balls of yarn or work with both ends of one ball. If you use two different balls, consider using two complimentary colors. I find it easier to work from two separate balls as the yarn doesn't get as tangle that way.

  1. Work with two strands of yarn as if it were one strand. Start at one end of the strap on one of the flip flops and work single crochet stitches around the strap pushing the stitches close together as you go to keep it nice and full.
  2. Continue with single crochet stitches until the whole strap is covered. Cut off the yarn and weave the loose ends back into your work.
  3. Repeat with the second flip flop.
