Crystal Hexagon Crochet Stitch Pattern
Lovely design stitched in four rounds using a variety of stitches. When stitched with worsted weight yarn the completed motif measures approximately 6" across.
Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
rep = repeat
sc = single crochet
sk = skip
sl st = slip stitch
sp = space
st(s) = stitch (es)
tr = triple or treble crochet
Base ring: Ch 6, join with sl st.
Round 1: Ch 5 (count as 1 dc and 2 ch), [1 dc into ring, ch 2] 5 times, sl st to 3rd of 5 ch.
Round 2: Ch 4, 2 tr in same place as sl st, *ch 2, 1 tr into next sp, ch 3, sl st into last tr, ch 2 **, 3 tr into next dc; rep from * 4 more times, then from * to ** again, sl st to top of ch 4.
Work in back loop only of each tr from now on.
Round 3: Ch 4, 1 tr into same place as sl st, *1 tr into next tr; 2 tr in next tr; ch 7 **, 2 tr in first tr of next 3 tr group; rep from * 4 more times then from * to ** again, sl st to top of ch 4.
Round 4: Ch 4, 1 tr into same place as sl st, *1 tr into each of next 3 tr, 2 tr into next tr, ch 4, sk first ch 3 of next ch 7, sc into next ch, ch 3, sc into same sp, ch 4 **, 2 tr into next tr; rep from * 4 more times then from * to ** again, sl st to top of ch 4.
Fasten off.
