Dutch Medallion Crochet Stitch Pattern

The Dutch Medallion stitch works up quickly with only two rounds to complete this crochet pattern. As completed above, the medallion measures 5.5" across the center.

Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
rep = repeat
sl st = slip stitch
sp = space
tr = treble or triple crochet

Special Abbreviations:
2tr bobble = leaving last loop of each st on hook, work 2 tr into ring, yo, draw through all 3 loops on hook.
3tr bobble = leaving last loop of each st on hook, work 3 tr into ring, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook.

Base ring: Ch 10, join with sl st.
Round 1: Ch 4, 2 tr bobble into ring, *ch 6, 3 tr bobble into ring; rep from * 6 more times, ch 6, sl st to top of first bobble.
Round 2: Sl st into each of next 3 ch, ch 4, [2tr bobble, ch 5, 3 tr bobble] into same sp, *ch 5, [3 tr bobble, ch 7, 1 dc] into next sp, ch 7**, [3tr bobble, ch 5, 3 tr bobble] into next sp; rep from * twice more, then from * to ** again, sl st to top of first bobble. Fasten off.
