Craft Foam Easter Egg
Easy kids Easter craft: I bought a blank craft foam Easter egg at my local craft store. It is a good size measuring 10.5" high x 7.75" wide and .25" thick. I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to decorate it and before I could get around to it, my daughter had it finished and hanging up. I think she did a great job!
It makes a great Easter decoration. Not only can you hang this on a wall, window or door by itself buy you can incorporate it into the center of an Easter wreath.
Craft Supplies:
- Blank Easter egg, measures 10.5" h x 7.75" w and .25" thick
- 1" Self stick craft foam letters
- Fabric paint in squeeze bottles in white and yellow
- Use self stick craft foam letters to spell out "Happy Easter" on the front of your egg.
- Use white fabric paint in squeeze bottle to draw accent lines along the open design openings of the egg.
- Using white and yellow fabric paint in squeeze bottles, make dots all over the egg. Note: the yellow dots did not photograph well.
There are a variety of ways you can hang up your egg.
- If you want to hang it on the refrigerator, simply glue a couple pieces of a strong magnet to the back of the egg.
- You can attach a hook to the back the egg by either taking a twist tie or a 5" piece of pipe cleaner and twisting the ends together and forming a loop with the center of the twist tie/pipe cleaner. Then either tape this to the back of your egg or staple it just below the loop and then fold the ends back up over the staples. You may need two or three staples to keep it secure.
- Use removable 3 M adhesive strips or dots to hang it.
