When stitched with worsted weight yarn and a size H crochet hook, this flower motif measures approximately 4.5" across.
Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
sp = space
st(s) = stitch (es)
Special Stitch: Picot = ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.
Base ring: Ch 6, join with sl st.
Round 1: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), dc into ring [picot 2 dc into ring] 7 times, picot, sl st to top of ch 3.
Round 2: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), dc into next dc, [ch 6, dc into each of next 2 dc] 7 times, ch 6, sl st to top of ch 3.
Round 3: Sl st into next dc and into next ch 6 sp, ch 1, 8 sc into same ch 6 sp, [8 sc into next ch 6 sp] 7 times sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
