The Garden Path Cable is a narrow cable stitch knitted in a six stitch panel on a background of reverse stockinette stitch.

Special Abbreviation:
C4B = Slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and hold at back of work, knit next 2 sts from left-hand needle, then knit sts from cable needle.
C4F = Slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and hold at front of work, knit next 2 sts from left-hand needle, then knit sts from cable needle.

1st row (right side): K2, C4F.
2nd row: P6
3rd row: K6.
4th row: P6.
5th and 6th rows: As 1st and 2nd rows.
7th row: C4B, k2.
8th row: P6
9th and 10th rows: As 3rd and 4th rows.
11th and 12th rows: As 7th and 8th rows.
Rep these 12 rows.

*To work a background of reverse stockinette stitch, in straight stitching, purl the first row, knit the second and repeat these two rows.
