Incan Star Crochet Stitch Pattern
Measuring at approximately 7.5" across when stitched from worsted weight yarn, this is a fun and unique crochet pattern.
Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
rep = repeat
sc = single crochet
sk = skip
sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch (es)
tr = treble or triple crochet
Note: Pattern is worked in a spiral, do not join at the end of rounds 1 - 6.
Base ring: Ch 6, join with sl st.
Round 1: 8 sc into ring.
Round 2: 3 sc; into each st, (24 sts)
Rounds 3 and 4: sc in each st around.
Round 5: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around (36 sts)
Round 6: sc in each st.
Round 7: *Ch 9, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, dc in each of next 3 ch, 1 tr in each of next 3 ch, sk next 3 sts of previous round, sl st in next st; rep from * around, join with sl st. Fasten off.
