Magic Circle Crochet Stitch Pattern
The center of this floral design is an open circle. Stitched with green yarn, the magic circle can become a wreath Christmas ornament. Quick and easy crochet pattern.
Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
beg = beginning
ch = chain
hdc = half double crochet
sc = single crochet
sk = skip
sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch (es)
Base ring: 16 ch, join with sl st.
Round 1: Ch 2 (count as 1 hdc), 35 hdc into ring, sl st into 2nd of 2 ch at beg of round
Round 2: Ch 1, sc into same st as last sl st [ch 5, sk 2 hdc, sc into next hdc] 11 times ch 5, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
