Petit Point Crochet Stitch Pattern
Small and simple flower crochet pattern which measures approximately 4" square when stitched using worsted weight yarn and a size H (American) crochet hook. Makes a great sew on applique or center to a granny square.
Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
rep = repeat
sc = single crochet
sk = skip
sl st = slant stitch
sp = space
st(s) = stitch (es)
tr = treble or triple crochet
Base ring: Ch 6, join with sl st
Round 1: Ch 1, 12 sc into ring, sl st to first sc.
Round 2: Ch 1, [sc into next sc, 2 sc into next sc] 6 times, sl st to first sc.
Round 3: Ch 1, [sc into next sc, ch 3, sk 2 sc] 6 times, sl st to first sc.
Round 4: [1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc] into next ch 3 sp 6 times sl st to first sc.
Fasten off.
