Picot Trellis Crochet Stitch Pattern

The picot trellis crochet pattern makes a lovely open weave pattern with diamond shapes. Inside each diamond is a picot. It is a simple pattern to follow as long as you know the basic crochet stitches and how to read a crochet pattern.

Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
rep = repeat
sc = single crochet
sk = skip
st(s) = stitch (es)
tch = turning chain

Multiple of 5 sts + 1 (add 1 for base chain)

Row 1: Sc into 2nd ch from hook, *ch 5, sk 4 ch, sc into next ch; rep from * to end turn
Row 2: *Ch 5, work a picot of (1sc, ch 3, 1sc) into 3rd ch of next ch 5 arch; rep from * ending ch 2, dc into last sc, skip tch, turn
Row 3: Ch 1, sc into first st, *ch 5, sk picot, picot into 3rd ch of next ch 5 arch; rep from * ending ch 5, sk picot, sc into tch arch, turn

Repeat rows 2 and 3.
