Shell Cluster Crochet Stitch Pattern
To me, this shell cluster resembles a crochet cross. It works up quickly with only 1 round including a picot at top and bottom. If stitched using worsted weight yarn, it measures approximately 2" wide by 2.5" high.
Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
rep = repeat
sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch (es)
Special Stitch: Picot = Ch 3, sl st into top of last st.
Base ring: Ch 4, join with sl st.
Round 1: *ch 3, 2 dc into ring, picot, 1dc into ring, ch 3, sl st into ring (petal made), ch 3, 3 dc into ring, ch 3, sl st into ring; rep from * once more. Fasten off.
