- 2 Orange pipe cleaners (chenille stems)
- 2 White pipe cleaners (chenille stems)
- Small amount of cheese cloth
- Small amount of artificial cobwebs
- Elmer's glue (white glue)
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Orange acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Optional: White and/or orange glitter
Note: You can change your finished
wreath size simply by using a different size
grapevine wreath. Also, feel free to make
more or less of the ghosts and pumpkins to
decorate your wreath.
1) First you need to make two pumpkin and two
ghost decorations* for your wreath:
-
Cut
out an 8" square of the cobwebs. Stretch
the cob webs out before cutting it to size.
- Dip the cobweb into Elmer's glue making
sure it is completely covered. Then, open
it up and lay it on a piece of aluminum
foil, wax paper or a disposable plastic
plate to dry. As it dries the cob web will
stiffen.
- Cut out a piece of cheesecloth
approximately 8" x 4". Lay this piece of
cheese cloth on a piece of foil or a plastic
disposable plate and paint one side with
orange acrylic paint. This will not only
color the cheesecloth but will also stiffen
it a bit. Let dry completely.
- With each of the white pipe cleaners,
make a ghost shape starting and ending at
the bottom point of the ghost. Cut off the
excess pipe cleaner and twist the ends
together. We have provided a guide for you
to follow for the shape. (see the printable
instructions page for pattern)
- Apply glue to one side of the ghost and
lay it glue side down on the stiffened
cobweb. Repeat with your second ghost
shape.
- Optional: Apply glue to the other side
of the ghost shape and sprinkle white
glitter over the glued area.
- Let the ghosts dry completely then, cut
off the excess cob web from around the
shape. When complete, only the center will
have cob web.
-
With
the orange pipe cleaners, make two circles
approximately 2 1/4" round. Twist the ends
together and cut off any excess. Gently
squeeze the circle so that the top gets a
little smaller than the bottom and it is
more of a pumpkin shape.
- Make a stem from a green pipe cleaner by
attaching the beginning and end of a 3 1/2"
piece of pipe cleaner to the top of the
orange circle.
- Apply glue to one side of the orange
circle. Do not apply glue to the stem. Lay
the pumpkin outline on the orange painted
cheese cloth. Let dry completely. Cut the
excess cheesecloth off so that only the
cheesecloth inside the pumpkin remains.
- Optional: Apply glue to the other side
of the orange pipe cleaner and sprinkle it
with orange glitter.
2)
Make a bow with the ribbon and either cut the
ends on an angle or fold each end in half and
cut diagonally upward to the fold line.
When opened up this will give you a V in the
bottom of the ribbon as pictured.
3) Cut the leaves off their stems and cut the
berries into small group.
4) Lay your bow, leaves, berries, pumpkins
and ghosts on the grapevine wreath and rearrange
them until you are happy with their lay out.
5) Using a hot glue gun, attach all of the
decorations to your wreath.

*Consider making additional ghosts and
pumpkins to decorate other areas of your home.
Attach them to plants, hang them from the
ceiling or attach them to a gift or goodie bag.
