Fun kids craft!

Flower magnets are so quick and easy to make, even the youngest crafter will feel successful.

Materials and Supplies

Craft Supplies:

  • 2 Craft foam flowers*
  • Two 15mm googly eyes
  • Magnet 1"
  • White Glue
  • 1/4" pompom
  • Black Marker

Craft Instructions

*Craft foam flowers can be purchased pre-cut in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.  They come in small packages or large buckets.  If you prefer, you can cut flowers out of craft foam instead of buying pre-cut ones.  The flowers used in our sample are approximately 3 1/2" wide.

  1. Attach a piece of magnet to one side of one of the foam flowers.  Then, place this flower flat on your work surface magnet side down.
  2. Glue a second flower on top of the first one but rotate it so that the first flower can be seen behind the top one.
  3. Glue a pompom to the center of the top flower for a nose.  Glue the eyes above the pompom nose and draw on eyebrows and a mouth with a black marker.

Idea:  Make a set of six and give as a gift to your Mom, grandmother, teacher or anyone special.  They make a great gift!
