-
Cut a 1" x 6" strip
of craft foam.
-
Bring one of the 1"
ends around to meet the other 1" end forming a ring as you do so.
Where the two 1" ends overlap, hot glue in place.
-
Cut a 2" square from
craft foam. Using the 3/16" hole punch, punch a hole in the
center of the square.
-
Punch a hole in the
craft foam ring you made in step 2. If possible, punch the hole
where the two ends are glued together.
-
Keeping the
embroidery floss as it comes (do not separate the strands) cut a
56" piece of embroidery floss. Fold it in half and then fold it in
half again. It should now be approximately 14" long. One end of the
floss will have cut ends and one loop. The opposite end will
have two loops. Pass the end with the two loops through the eye of
the needle and bring the loop ends down to meet the other end. Knot
the end of the floss opposite the needle.

Thread the floss onto an embroidery needle. Slide the needle
to the middle of the thread then bring the ends together. |

Knot the ends of the embroidery floss opposite the needle. |
-
Pass the needle
through the hole in the ring going from the inside of the ring to
the outside of the ring.
-
Pass the needle
through the hole in the 2" square and pull the embroidery floss all
the way through.
-
Tie a knot in the
floss as close to the 2" square as you can.
-
Trim the ends of the
embroidery floss to the desired length.
