Description

Even though the gardenia bloom flower is a flat (non-3 dimensional) crochet pattern, it has a lot of character. Not only would it make a great center for a granny square, you could make a bunch of the petals and join them together to make items such as a lap blanket, table runner or scarf. If you plan to make a table runner, I suggest using crochet thread. The flower pictured above was crocheted using worsted weight yarn and a size H crochet hook which produced a 4 3/4" flower.
