Description
This little popcorn cluster stitch measures only 2.5" across when stitched using worsted weight yarn. It works up quickly with only two rounds.
Materials and Supplies
Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
rep = repeat
sl st = slip stitch
sp = space
st(s) = stitch (es)
yo = yarn over
Craft Instructions
Base ring: Ch 6, join with sl st.
Round 1: Ch 5 (count as 1 dc and 1 ch), [dc into ring, ch 1] 7 times, sl st to 3rd of 5 ch.
Round 2: Ch 3, holding back last loop of each dc, *[3 dc, yo and draw through all loops on hook] into next ch 1 sp, ch 1; rep from * 7 more times, sl st to top of ch 3. Fasten off.
