Description

If you are looking for a pattern with a tight weave, you may be interested in the trinity stitch. It is made up of single crochet stitches that are worked together in clusters. Each cluster is joined to the the previous one leaving no spaces or gaps between stitches.

Materials and Supplies

Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
rep = repeat
sc = single crochet
sp = space
st(s) = stitch (es)
tog = together

Craft Instructions

Multiple of 2 sts + 1 (add 1 for base chain)

Row 1: sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc3tog inserting hook first into same ch as previous sc then into each of next 2 ch, *ch 1, sc3tog inserting hook first into same ch as 3rd let of previous cluster then into each of next 2 ch; rep from * to last ch, sc into same ch as 3rd leg or previous cluster, turn
Row 2: Ch 1, sc into first st, sc3tog inserting hook first into same place as previous sc then into top of next cluster then into next ch sp, *ch1, sc3tog inserting hook first into same ch sp as 3rd leg of previous cluster then into top of next cluster then into next ch sp; rep from * to end working 3rd leg of cluster into last sc, sc into same place, turn
Row 3: Ch 1, sc into first st, sc3tog inserting hook first into same place as previous sc then into top of next cluster then into next ch sp, *ch1, sc3tog inserting hook first into same ch sp as 3rd leg of previous cluster then into top of next cluster then into next ch sp; rep from * to end working 3rd leg of cluster into last sc, sc into last st, turn
