Description

The Embedded Donuts cable stitch is achieved by knitting evenly spaced basic four stitch cables throughout your piece. It is no more difficult than any basic cable stitch.

Skill level: Intermediate to Advanced

16 Stitch pattern repeat.

Materials and Supplies

You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper).

Craft Instructions

Multiple of 16 + 10.

Special Abbreviation:
C4B = Slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and hold at back of work, knit next 2 sts from left-hand needle, then knit sts from cable needle.
C4F = Slip next 2s sts onto cable needle and hold at front of work, knit next 2 sts from left-hand needle, then knit sts from cable needle.

1st row (right side): K3, C4B, *K4, C4B, rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
2nd and every alt row: Purl
3rd row: K1, C4B, C4F, *k8, C4B, C4F; rep from * to last st, k1.
5th row: Knit
7th row: K1, C4F, C4B, *k8, C4F, C4B; rep from * to last st, k1.
9th row: As 1st row.
11th row: K9, *C4B, C4F, k8; rep from * to last st, k1
13th row: Knit.
15th row: K9, *C4F, C4B, k8, rep from * to last st, k1.
16th row: Purl.
Rep these 16 rows.
